so they designed the XL12 12 kW, XL30 30kW and XL60 60kW solid state transmitters
with 20 percent reserve power. The XL60, for example, can run up to 66kW with
full 125% modulation. Broadcasters can remove one of its 6.25kW power modules
and still run the station at full output power. And, they can remove the module,
repair it, and replace it without having to take the transmitter off the air.
