Got the translator bug? Crown Broadcast announced a new configuration option for its low power transmitter line that will make it easier to set up a translator. The new configuration option strips the composite from the incoming received signal and generates a new FM signal at a different frequency for re-transmission. Available for the Crown FM30, FM100, FM250 and FM500 transmitters, the optional configuration features a phase lock loop (PLL) circuit for excellent frequency stability and frequency shift keying (FSK) for identification purposes, a beneficial feature for satellite-fed systems.
